About

I am a recognized branding and integrated-media professional with more than 20 years of experience providing strategic thinking, content strategy, account direction and creative direction. I’ve worked for the Star Tribune, Utne Reader magazine, Twin Cities Public Television, PBS, Portage Interactive, Whoop Design, Bolin and Hello Viking. As the Online Director at Utne Reader magazine, I developed one of the first magazine-based Web sites into a Webby Award-winning destination. At Twin Cities Public Television, I produced cutting edge educational interactive content for DragonflyTV, a PBS science show for kids. Since 2004, until selling the company in 2010, I lead Whoop Design; a multi-discipline boutique creative agency. I’ve worked with many leading brands including 3M, AARP, Carmex, CNN, DreamWorks, Fidelity, HP, MoneyGram, St. Jude Medical, University of Minnesota and Well Fargo. I currently serve as a Vice President of the Board of Directors of the Minnesota Interactive Marketing Association. I earned a Bachelor of Arts in History and Political Science from Hamline University, so I honestly can’t resist a juicy political thriller. I am the father of an amazing daughter, and a consummate traveler who enjoys music, sports, tasty food and volunteering. And if you scroll through my Instagram and Vine accounts, you might concur I have a slight fascination with cats.
