RIP John Hurt

“It’s not so much staying alive, it’s staying human that’s important. What counts is that we don’t betray each other.”
— John Hurt as Winston Smith in “1984”

Women’s March on Washington – Minnesota

I thanked these folks for the privilege to capture this moment in time. Two old school social warriors with a simple message about what we should expect from our legal but illegitimate leader – a powerful portrait that conveys a world’s righteous anger towards a president who only respects himself. This movement is real & unstoppable. Women’s March Minnesota St. Paul, Minnesota. Photo: Christopher Pollard

“When nothing is sure, everything is possible.”
– Margaret Drabble

It’s time to roll up my sleeve, do the hard work and show the world that hope can’t be trumped.

Most of what we can see at the first glance about a problem is only what’s on the surface. In order to create solutions that truly impact our users, however, we need to dig deep into the root of the problem, and the drivers, needs, and motivations of our users.
